Writing Flash Nonfiction
COURSE
Course description
Creative nonfiction is the art of crafting written narratives from real life.
Flash nonfiction is the art of making those narratives short, sharp, and engaging. How do you tell a story, extend a thought, or explore an experience, all in under 750 words? In this course, we'll read examples of published flash fiction, and use them—in conjunction with exercises—as a jumping off point for writing our own flash nonfiction.
Open to both newcomers dipping a toe in the nonfiction waters, and creative nonfiction veterans who want to hone their skills.
