Course description
There are over 10,000 lakes on Vancouver Island.
This talk focuses on appreciating the beautiful lakes here and learning about the ecosystem processes that support them. Your instructor will focus on water quality, biodiversity and nutrient cycling in the context of lakes, then talk briefly about her master's research on cities and lakes.
You will learn about ways to get involved with protecting these ecosystems, as well as the government agencies and organizations that monitor lakes on the island.
