Services for grant-funded research projects

Continuing Studies at UVic is a proud partner in extending the reach, relevance, and impact of grant-funded research. Our team collaborates with faculty, research centres, and external partners, to extend the reach and relevance of research through innovative knowledge mobilization, labour market research, and the development of accredited educational programming that connects research to professional practice.

How we support research projects

We can engage at every stage of your research project—from proposal development through delivery, and post-grant sustainability—to help ensure your work drives real-world impact.

Knowledge Mobilization through Education and Training

We specialize in turning research findings into accessible, action-oriented educational programming for professionals, community organizations, industry partners, and the public. Our team can help you:

  • Design and deliver non-credit workshops, certificate programs, webinars, or micro-credentials grounded in, and that mobilize, your research outcomes
  • Engage diverse audiences through online, hybrid and in-person formats
  • Embed equity, accessibility, and adult learning principles into knowledge dissemination strategies

Labour Market and Sectoral Research

Ground your research in current workforce trends and industry needs. Our in-house research capacity includes:

  • Labour market scans and environmental scans to inform program or policy relevance
  • Surveys, interviews, and partner engagements to support proposal development or evaluate program impact
  • Sector-specific analysis to align your project with skill development priorities

Program Development and Professional Accreditation

Continuing Studies can help transform your research into sector-specific, professionally recognized learning opportunities. We support:

  • The design of educational offerings that meet industry standards and competencies
  • The navigation of professional accreditation processes with industry bodies, licensing boards, or regulatory associations
  • Partnership development with credentialing organizations to ensure your programming is recognized and valued in the workforce

Whether you are creating an offering that qualifies for professional development credits or developing a new credential aligned with sectoral standards, we can help ensure your program is impactful and endorsed by relevant professional bodies.
