Your Continuing Studies at UVic experience is just around the corner and you may have questions about your program, the campus, or the city of Victoria. Continuing Studies is pleased to offer a New Student Orientation Day with a variety of sessions to set you up for success. Sessions will be held each September, January and May at the start of each term. Information is provided for both domestic and international students. Please review the details below for upcoming sessions and other helpful information.
As the Certificate in Business Administration (CBA) and the Diploma in Business Administration (DBA) programs are non-credit, students are not eligible to attend the University of Victoria general orientation. This is why Continuing Studies is happy to offer our own Orientation Day with information and events catered to our students’ needs.
Before your program starts, please review this information:

Student Services Information
As a student, it is important that you prioritize your well-being and feel connected and engaged. Meet the Student Services Team and learn more about the services and supports available to you during your program:
Student and Alumni Engagement
Volunteers from the UVic Philippine Community Club will be assisting each group through the various sessions for the day. New students will get an opportunity to connect with other students (current and alumni) as well as with various organizations from the University of Victoria campus.
Upcoming program orientation sessions
In order to attend a program orientation session, students must be registered to begin the CBA or DBA program in September 2024. Students only need to register for one program orientation session (choose either On-Campus or Digital Package). All content will be covered in both of the sessions below.
If you are unable to come to campus, please register for the "Digital Package". You will receive a recorded version of the Program Orientation Session, a guided video tour of the UVic Campus, links to Brightspace video tutorials, and the Student Services presentation slides. This will be sent to you at the end of the day on orientation day.
