The Cultural Resource Management Program provides a medium through which professionals and those new to the field may establish working networks and be part of the ongoing development of the cultural sphere.

The CRMP program has provided me with much more confidence when approaching new challenges at my job. I find that I frequently refer back to what I learned when facing daily challenges such as how to properly store a specific artifact or how to approach another organization about a proposed partnership project.

Having the chance to take all kinds of different courses, in all kinds of fields, with all kinds of different people involved—different industries and professionals, different people participating—this is an opportunity that only Continuing Studies can give.

Within the courses, there is an overall sense of community, full of shared enthusiasm, free discussion, insights and experiences in both face-to-face and online courses. Through these shared experiences, we maintain a sense of curiosity, discovery and enthusiasm, and connect the cultural resources we protect and represent.
During your program, you'll complete 15.0 units of academic credit (10 courses) with online or on-campus course work chosen from our program curriculum.

All requests to withdraw from any course should be sent in writing to cmpasst@uvic.ca. Please include your name, your student number, and the course name or number.
To be admissible to the diploma program, applicants must normally:
Applying to our diploma program is a two-step process:
Step one: apply to the program on our website by clicking the “apply online” button. There is a $125 application fee that will only be debited if you are accepted to the program.
Step two: once you hear back from the office, you must also apply and be accepted as an undergraduate or returning student at the University of Victoria. If you haven’t already done so, please complete the My UVic online application.
Please be aware that you can register for our courses before your application is approved.
Please note that upon acceptance into UVic, there will be a non-refundable acceptance deposit required at UVic Tuition. The domestic student deposit is $250, and the international student deposit is $5,000. These deposits will go towards tuition.
