Fascist Futures: Identity Politics and the New Authoritarianism
COURSE
Course description
Fascism didn't disappear with the defeat of Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy in World War II.
There have been fascist movements across the globe ever since, and while they share certain ideological similarities, each new iteration of fascist ideology is unique to the culture that spawned it.
In this course, we're going to work to demystify the idea of fascism, before taking a closer look at the nuts and bolts of fascist ideology, and how elements of it have made their way into mainstream politics across the Global North.
